Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
In short: we will never sell or share your information with anyone, beyond the support personnel who maintain this application.
What we collect
- Your account information (name and email address) when you register.
- The credentials needed to connect a mailbox you choose to link (an OAuth2 access/refresh token, or an app password) - these are encrypted at rest and are only ever used to read and organize mail in the account you connected them for.
- The spam-domain, never-spam, and folder-routing rules you configure.
- A log of the actions JunkNuke has taken on your behalf (e.g. a message moved to junk), shown back to you on the Logs page.
What we don't collect
Email message bodies are never written to our database. A message's content is only held in memory long enough to check it against your spam rules or show you a preview, and is dropped as soon as that message is read, moved, or deleted.
How we use your information
Everything we collect is used solely to operate the features you've configured: scanning the mailboxes you've connected, applying your spam/never-spam/folder rules, and showing you the results. We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or any purpose you haven't directly asked for.
Sharing your information
We will never sell your information, and we will never share it with anyone, except the support personnel who maintain this application - and even then, only as needed to operate, troubleshoot, or improve it. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
Connecting a mailbox via OAuth2 (Gmail, Yahoo, or Optimum) involves that provider's own authorization flow - your use of their sign-in is also governed by their own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.
Data isolation and security
Your data is private to your account - no other JunkNuke user can ever see your mailboxes, your messages, or your domain lists. Stored credentials (OAuth tokens and app passwords) are encrypted at rest and are never shown back to you or anyone else in plain text.
Data retention and deletion
Disconnecting a mailbox from Settings removes its cached data and stored credentials. Deleting your account removes everything associated with it. If you'd like your data removed and aren't able to do this yourself, contact us using the information below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of JunkNuke after a change means you accept the updated policy.
